I was chatting with my buddy Edgar yesterday and he said, “Do you really think it’s a good idea for people to be reading the Bible?”

I said, “Yup.”

Edgar said, “For real?”

I said, “Yup.”

Edgar said, “But it’s dangerous!”

I said, “Yup.”

Edgar said, “The Bible is full of crazy stories and teachings.”

I said, “Yup.”

Edgar said, “The Bible seems to commend things that are risky to commend.”

I said, “Yup.”

Edgar said, “The Bible is riddled with slippery slopes!”

I said, “Yup.”

Edgar said, “Like The Gospel of Luke 16:1-9.”

I said, “Yup.”

Edgar said, “Or like Rahab.”

I said, “Yup.”

Edgar said, “Or like Puah.”

I said, “Yup.”

Edgar said, “Or like 1 Kings 22:15.”

I said, “Yup.”

Edgar said, “Or like 2 Kings 11.”

I said, “Yup.”

Edgar said, “Or like Matthew 12:1-8.”

I said, “Yup.”

Edgar said, “Or like John 2:1-10.”

I said, “Yup.”

And it went on like this for approx. 1 hour.
