At East Charlotte Pres, we believe that children are a vital part of our church family. We have a number of classes and programs where little ones can learn and grow together. From nursery, through children’s worship, special events and Sunday School classes, we always strive to teach our children about God’s love and to model God’s love to them. Below you can find information about our children’s classes at East Charlotte.
Nursery
Nursery Care is available during Sunday School (9:30 am) and Worship (10:30 am), for Newborns through Age 3.
During the worship service, our children learn about God together, singing Bible songs and hearing a Bible story. They also have free play time and snack. The nursery is staffed by trained and background-checked volunteers.
Children’s Sunday School
We have Sunday School Classes for children from age 4 through High School each week at 9:30 am.
Multiple classes are offered to best teach children of all ages: Preschoolers (ages 4-Kindergarten), Younger Elementary (1st & 2nd grade), Middle Elementary (3rd & 4th grade), and Rising Adults (5th grade – HS). Curriculum is Gospel-centered and Biblical and builds with each year. Rising Adults gather to discuss the upcoming sermon and provide familiarity with the Biblical text to enhance their time in the worship service.
“Teach Me to Worship”
All children are welcome to join us in singing during the beginning of our worship each week. After this, we have a Teach Me to Worship class during the sermon for 4-year-olds through Kindergarteners.
Children in 1st grade and up stay with their families to participate in the Sermon.
