At East Charlotte Pres, we believe that children are a vital part of our church family. We have a number of classes and programs where little ones can learn and grow together. From nursery, through children’s worship, special events and Sunday School classes, we always strive to teach our children about God’s love and to model God’s love to them. Below you can find information about our children’s classes at East Charlotte.
Nursery Care is available during Sunday School (9:30 am) and Worship (10:30 am), for Newborns through Age 4.
During the worship service, our children learn about God together, singing Bible songs and a story acted out with a puppet show. They also have free play time and snack. The nursery is staffed by volunteers within our church membership.
Children’s Sunday School
We have Sunday School Classes for “rising adults” each week at 9:30 am.
Since we encourage our children in 2nd grade to attend the worship service with their family, this Sunday school class is intended to provide familiarity with the Biblical text that the sermon will come from each week. This class includes our 5-year-olds through elementary/middle school.
All children are welcome to join us in singing during the beginning of our worship each week. After this, we have Children’s Church (Red Sprouts) during the sermon for K-1st grade.
Our children will be working through the Jesus Storybook Bible & Thoughts to Make Your Heart Sing Children’s Devotional by Sally Lloyd Jones.
Children in 2nd Grade and up stay with their families to participate in the Sermon.
