In my morning meeting with The Boss, He said,

“After Jesus had been crucified, His body was put in a tomb. Then a few days went by and Joanna & Co. went to the tomb, and they found the tomb wide open, and the body was missing. And they were perplexed about this, and then – all of a sudden – two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. And the two men in dazzling apparel said, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? Jesus isn’t here. Remember how He told you about how He would only be dead for 3 days?” So then Joanna & Co. told the church leaders about this, but the church leaders didn’t believe them (they thought it was ‘an idle tale’). [Let that sink in, the first time the church leaders heard the news of the resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth …they didn’t believe it]. …Later that day, Cleopas and another dude were on a seven mile walk, and – BAM – Jesus was, all-of-a-sudden, right there walking with them. But they didn’t recognize Him (kind of like Edmond Dantès [a.k.a. the Count of Monte Cristo] when he is disguised as Abbê Busoni, Sinbad the Sailor, or Lord Wilmore). And Jesus asked them, “What is this conversation that you are holding with each other as you walk?” And Cleopas said, “Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days?” And Jesus played dumb, and said, “What things?” And they said, “All the crazy stuff that happened with Jesus of Nazareth, and how our chief priests and rulers delivered Him up to be condemned to death, and crucified Him!!! We had hoped that Jesus was THE ONE. But now we ain’t so sure.” And Jesus said, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into His glory?” And then – beginning with Moses and all the Prophets – Jesus interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. …At this point Cleopas and the other dude STILL didn’t know it was Jesus! But they were very intrigued with this guy (again, like the Count of Monte Cristo). They were getting close to their destination, and Jesus pretended like He was going to keep walking, and excuse Himself from their company; but they urged Him strongly to stay with them. So He stayed with them, and joined them for supper. And during supper they realized that IT WAS JESUS!!! And the moment they recognized Him, He vanished! …that’s right, you heard correctly …HE VANISHED!!!”
