  3. Verse 10 says, “With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments!” …see Matthew 9:13.
  4. Verse 14 says, “In the way of your testimonies I delight as much as in all riches.” …see Matthew 13:34.
  5. Verse 18 says, “Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.” …see Matthew 9:13.
  6. Verse 19 says, “I am a sojourner on the earth.” …see Leviticus 19:10.
  7. Verse 20 says, “My soul is consumed with longing for your rules at all times.” See Matthew 5-7, 9:13.
  8. Verse 24 says, “Your testimonies are my delight; they are my counselors.” …See Matthew 13:34.
  9. Verse 31 says, “I cling to your testimonies, O Lord; let me not be put to shame!” …See Matthew 13:34.
  10. Verse 32 says, “I will run in the way of your commandments when you enlarge my heart!” When will a person run in the way of God’s commandments??? When God enlarges their heart. Examples of this = Judah – son of Jacob, John 4:29 lady, Saul of Tarsus.
  11. Verse 37 says, “Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways.” What are WORTHLESS THINGS? …make a list of 7 worthless things.
  12. Verse 54 says, “Your statutes have been my songs in the house of my sojourning.” …Sing Paul’s letter to Philemon.
  13. Verse 59 says, “When I think on my ways, I turn my feet to your testimonies.” …See Matthew 13:34.
  14. Verse 62 says, “At midnight I rise to praise you, because of your righteous rules.” …What do you get up an midnight to do?
  15. Verses 67 & 71 & 75 say, “Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep your word. …It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I might learn your statutes. … I know, O Lord, that your rules are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.” …What did you do before you were afflicted? What was your specific affliction? How did the affliction particularly prompt you to keep God’s Word? …See Genesis 38 and Matthew 9:13 and Romans 11:32.
  16. Verse 77 says, “Let your mercy come to me, that I may live; for your law is my delight.” …See Matthew 9:13.
  17. Verse 78 says, “Let the insolent be put to shame, because they have wronged me with falsehood; as for me, I will meditate on your precepts.” …See the saga of King Saul vs. King David in 1 Samuel.
  18. Verse 92 says, “If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.” …See Matthew 9:13.
  19. Verse 95 says, “The wicked lie in wait to destroy me, but I consider your testimonies.” …See Matthew 13:34.
  20. Verses 99-100 say, “I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the aged, for I keep your precepts.” Is this an arrogant thing for the Psalmist to say?See Matthew 13:34 & 9:13.
  21. Verse 103 says, “How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” …See Matthew 13:34

Verse 104 says, “Through your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.” Jesus of Nazareth had many altercations with people who passionately claimed to have an expert understanding of God’s precepts, and they were full of hatred toward Jesus of Nazareth – because they considered His Way to be flagrantly false.   23. Verse 105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” What is lighting your path? By what do you daily SEE & SAVOR? …Your phone screen? Or – Matthew 13:34?
  24. Verse 111 says, “Your testimonies are my heritage forever, for they are the joy of my heart.” …See Matthew 13:34.
  25. Verse 114 says, “You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.” …See Matthew 13:34.
  26. Verse 126 says, “It is time for the Lord to act, for your law has been broken.” Is it okay for the poet to tell God “It’s time for You to act!”?
  27. Verse 130 says, “The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.” …See Matthew 13:34 (those have ears to hear [i.e. the simple], let them hear).
  28. Verses 131-132 say, “I open my mouth and pant, because I long for your commandments. Turn to me and be gracious to me, as is your way with those who love your name.” …See Matthew 9:13.
  29. Verse 133 says, “Keep steady my steps according to your promise, and let no iniquity get dominion over me.” See תִּמְשָׁל.
  30. Verse 134 says, “Redeem me from man’s oppression, that I may keep your precepts.” Once the poet is redeemed from man’s oppression, in what way(s) will he be better able to keep God’s precepts?
  31. Verse 138 says, “You have appointed your testimonies in righteousness and in all faithfulness.” …See Matthew 13:34.
  32. Verse 139 says, “My zeal consumes me, because my foes forget your words.” This is how I feel toward my father in law – if I were Jonathan & David dealing with Saul in 1 Samuel!
  33. Verse 141 says, “I am small and despised, yet I do not forget your precepts.” S&D small & despised!
  34. Verse 143 says, “Trouble and anguish have found me out, but your commandments are my delight.” …See Matthew 9:13.
  35. Verse 144 says, “Your testimonies are righteous forever; give me understanding that I may live.” …See Matthew 13:34.
  36. Verse 147 says, “I rise before dawn and cry for help; I hope in your words.” Do you ever rise before dawn to read the parables if Jesus of Nazareth?…See Matthew 13:34.
  37. Verse 156 says, “Great is your mercy, O Lord; give me life according to your rules.” …See Matthew 9:13.
  38. Verse 157 says, “Many are my persecutors and my adversaries, but I do not swerve from your testimonies.” Do you have many persecutors and adversaries? …If you think of adversaries as people who don’t heartily embrace Matthew 13:34 and Matthew 9:13 – approx. how many adversaries would you have?
  39.  Verse 158 says, “I look at the faithless with disgust, because they do not keep your commands.” Is this okay? …Is it okay to look at people with disgust? What is an example of when it’s OK to look at someone with disgust? Did Jesus of Nazareth ever look at anyone with disgust? Did Jesus of Nazareth ever rebuke people for looking at others with disgust?
  40. Verse 162 says, “I rejoice at your word like one who finds great spoil.” …See Matthew 13:34.
  41. Verse 165 says, “Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble.” Stephen? Daniel + SMA? Joseph? Esther? Joanna? Elisha?
  42. Verse 167 says, “My soul keeps your testimonies; I love them exceedingly.” …See Matthew 13:34.
  43. Verse 169 says, “Give me understanding according to your word!” …See Luke 24:27 and 1 Corinthians 2:2 and Hebrews 11:26-27 and Hebrews 12:2 and Matthew 13:34 and John 4:29; 5:39.
  44. Verse 172 says, “My tongue will sing of your word, for all your commandments are right.” Sing Paul’s letter to Philemon, or Sing Jude’s letter to those who are called, beloved of God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ.
