  1. Eliashib believes that showing up and working hard is what being a member of God’s community is all about. Do you agree?
  2. Eliashib believes that an alliance with Tobiah will strengthen God’s people. How do we (the church in America 2025) believe and behave the same way as Eliashib? In other words, what ill-advised alliances, and/or insidious indulgences plague the church nowadays?
  3. As you survey the story of King David, when would you say he was MOST a man after God’s own heart?
  4. What scenes in Scripture underscore God’s emphasis on forgiving sins?
  5. Read 1 Timothy 1:15, and 1 Corinthians 2:2, and John 4:29, and Mark 14:3-9, and Hebrews 12:1-2. What are three applications, and or take-aways, based on these verses?
