- What’s been your experience with church as a status-seeking society? Have you ever experienced Bible study as a performance (as opposed to an opportunity to be mystified by God’s scandalous mercy)?
- Do you think that there are some folks who attend church (or Bible study) for disingenuous, or duty-oriented, reasons?
- At church, or at Bible study, what are you most keenly focused on?
- When was a time someone showed up in your ordinary/“cheap seats” life and gave you the sense of what God was really cooking up?
