Sermon Text: Revelation 21:1-8

Outline:

  1. New (vv.1, 4)
  2. With (vv.2-3)
  3. Who (vv.5-8)

Reflection Questions:

  1. Hebrews 11:26 says that Moses considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the reward. What do you consider to be the greatest treasure? (please be honest)
  2. If you could be in an unblemished, everlasting, paradise – but God was not there – would you go for it? Why or why not?
  3. Make a list of all the places & times & situations when/where God is WITH you. How does that make you feel? How does that change your perspective?
  4. Are you desperate for (pause and simply consider that portion of the question for a moment “are you desperate for…”) a crucified (pause to contemplate what that word – “crucified” – means), completely sovereign (ponder the massive implications of that statement – “completely sovereign”) King of kings? Now put it all together …are you THIRSTY for HIM!?
