The best thing about ECPC has always been fellowship (with God, and with one another).

The foundation, framework, and wholistic flavoring of our fellowship with God is found in simply sitting on the floor at Jesus’ feet and listening to Him tell stories (Luke 10:39, 42). And our shared obsession with the stories of Jesus is the root system that gives rise to the fellowship we experience and enjoy with one another. The church is most primarily DEVOTED to the apostles’ teaching (i.e. The Word of God), and the fellowship (i.e. the unpredictable network of branches that comprises God’s eclectic family tree – united and sustained in Christ alone), and the breaking of bread (i.e. the visible means of grace/the Lord’s Supper, and having all things in common with one another as we regularly gather with one another in each other’s homes), and the prayers (i.e. pushing one another – without ceasing – to desperately depend on God and collectively combat the Satanic impulse to lean on our own understanding).

The mission of ECPC in 2021 is FELLOWSHIP (with God, and with one another).

But haven’t we already done that? Yes, but we’ve also already watched The Office and that doesn’t stop us from watching it again, and again, and again.

ECPC will double-down on the mission of FELLOWSHIP (with God, and with one another).

ECPC will pray that God deepen our affection for Him and for one another (see 1 Thessalonians 2:8, 19-20), and that God will force us into Christ-centered fellowship with the people moving into the myriad of new homes being built all around 10101; compelling us to be childlike and receptive to God with glad and generous hearts as we see God establish Life Groups in the new neighborhoods of ECLT; and as we marvel at how God adds to our number day by day those who are being saved (see Acts 2: 46-47).

Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.

Brothers, pray for us.

Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss.

I put you under oath before the Lord to have this blog read to all the brothers.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
