Reflection Questions:

  1. What earthly things threaten to take control of your mindset (your ideas, behaviors, plans, etc.) in everyday life?
  2. When you think of the heavenly realities in verses 1-4, what makes them so astounding that if you believe them, you will be different from anyone around you who doesn’t? How do they impact you?
  3. Verse 4 says that, “Christ… is your life.” What else (besides Jesus) threatens to “be your life?” What would it look like to tell that idol, “You are not my life. Only Jesus is my life?”
