Sermon Text: John 6

  1. We Must Let God Lead
  2. We Must Long for Real Food
  3. We Must Do Nothing

Reflection Questions:

  1. Do you let God lead you, OR have you “domesticated God”?
  2. How would you explain these Words of Jesus to a non-Christian? —-> “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.”
  3. Do you agree with this —-> “We must repent of our blasphemous anxiety to do “God’s work for Him”? What specific – ‘seemingly good’ – toil do you need to repent of? (e.g. Being a neat freak? Meticulously managing money? Being ‘right’ about everything? Doctrine Hall Monitor? Christian liberty w/o love [see 1 Cor. 13]?).
